Soccer camp, Camp Meeting, Women of Faith, Mansfield Inner city & a One-a-thon

July 13 began a busy week for all involved with Victory Summer camp.

First, I headed down to Mount Vernon Ohio for district assembly and campmeeting for North Central Ohio District Church of the Nazarene. There was an awesome video clip at the Monday night service showing the Kingdom building in action by our compassionate ministries and newstarts through out the district. The District relaunched into Mansfield inner city not only with an offering that night but also a special day of service on Friday. Have a work team that needs something to do? Check out Mansfield Inner City by downloading a flyer with contact info!

On Tuesday, the Victory Summer camp kids along with Miss Katie & Elizabeth began their week of heading off to Scranton Road Bible and learning the skills of soccer from 10 am to 3 pm, everyday! Check out all the soccer pics at the picasa album!

Women of Faith heard Pastor Andy on the radio and came down to visit Heaventrain on July 11 during the awful rainstorm. They were so touched by the ministry that the provided Lighthouse Inc with free tickets for volunteers and Heaventrain moms to a GRAND NEW DAY on July 17-18.

One-a-thon is a fundraiser for Victory One, the compassionate ministries arm of Cleveland Victory Nazarene. Walk and pray the streets of Cleveland victory and get donors to sponsor you for each mile you walk. Not only will some needed fiances flow into the ministry but image what the Lord can do with the prayer! Contact Pastor Jacob or Pastor Sam for more information or a pledge sheet.

Don't forget to join the offical Facebook Fan page of Heaventrain! Invite your friends! Interact with other fans! Spread the word!

The Family of God

Pastors from all over headed toward Orlando Florida for the 27th General Assembly and Convention for the International church of the Nazarene. This occurred from June 21 through July 3.

Two days went by with no problems and no Pastor Jacob. Then the third day hit. The Victory van breaks down. Something wrong with the catalytic converter. What do we do now? No van and the kids can't get to church. The family of God to the rescue.

North Royalton State Road Community lends us their red van and we have it until July 3. That's okay Pastor Jacob should be back and help us figure out what to do.

Oh no! Pastor Jacob doesn't come back until July 7 !!! He directs us to Mike Pelley, a board member for Cleveland Victory but they don't arrive home from Florida until Sat July 4, late. Off to church Mike goes on July 5 and guess what the new van sitting in his driveway won't be ready until Tuesday--no plates. What do we do for Monday?

The family of God to the rescue! Again! Bedford Church of the Nazarene sends their 17 passenger shuttle and Mr. Ries, a BedNaz member and CDL certified down to Victory to pick up the kids and returns at 12:30 pm to take them home. No air conditioning? Guess what the kids didn't care and in the words of Miss Katie, our normal van driver, " Air conditioning? We would never have gotten those kids out of the van!"

Praise the Lord for family!
